As National Volunteer Month comes to an end, we want to highlight our April volunteer projects. This month we hosted corporate volunteers, open workdays and an Earth Day project! Take a look at the impact:

April 10

Corporate Volunteer Event, Zendesk at Armadillo Park Employees from Zendesk helped with Nature Play maintenance. This much-needed care helps ensure the safety and longevity of our nature play spaces.

April 13

Open Volunteer Day at Davis/White Northeast Park Volunteers helped with tree care and mulching at Davis/White Northeast Park. In addition to caring for their park, they hosted a community activation – yoga – with Park Adopter Jasmin Gardner.

April 18

Corporate Volunteer Event, Preacher at Garrison District Park Employees from Preacher spent time at Garrison District Park helping to care for trees by mulching.

April 22

Earth Day Open Workday at Walnut Creek Metro Park Volunteers spent time removing invasives and helping with ecological restoration.

April 30

Corporate Volunteer Event, TikTok at Zilker Metropolitan Park As part of TikTok’s Global Earth Month Activation, their employees spent the day at Zilker Metropolitan Park helping with litter cleanup, caring for garden spaces, removing invasives and helping with ecological restoration. We’ve said this before, and we’ll say it in the future: THANK YOU to our volunteers! Y’all truly make Austin’s parks, trails and green spaces better. Learn how YOU can become a volunteer here.
